United Russia Leads in Russian Parliamentary Elections Without Opposition
Preliminary results indicate that United Russia, the party aligned with President Vladimir Putin, is poised for a significant victory in the Russian parliamentary elections, securing approximately 57.9% of the vote according to the Central Election Commission. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation placed second with nearly 13.8%, followed by the Liberal Democratic Party at 8.8%.
