Police: Photographer pushed into water to create working space
The Hague police stated that a photographer was pushed into water during Malieveld riots to create space for an arrest unit. A spokesperson explained that while journalists must have room to work, they must not obstruct officers during violent incidents. The agent may not have seen the water behind Spanish photographer Nacho Calonge, and the force is in contact with him and journalist safety organizations for careful handling.
