Bus plunges into ravine in Cape Verde: at least 25 dead, including many students
At least 25 people died and at least twelve were seriously injured in a bus accident on the Cape Verdean island of Fogo on 2026-09-05. The bus, carrying many secondary school students from Curral Grande and Ponta Verde, veered off the road between Chã das Caldeiras and Campanas de Cima around 21:00 local time and fell 30 meters into a ravine.
