Dutch Youth Hold More Negative Views on Homosexuality
A study by the Trimbos Institute and Utrecht University reveals that Dutch youth have become more negative toward homosexuality over the past four years. The percentage of boys in secondary education with positive views dropped from 40% to 22%, while girls saw a decline from 78% to 51%. Additionally, students report bullying more frequently and view school environments less favorably. Mental health concerns persist among girls, with emotional problems rising from 29% in 2017 to 43% in 2025, and behavioral issues increasing from 12% to 21%.
