Woman Destroyed Protest Signs at Engelen Shelter; Men Assault Her and Receive Sentences
Two men were sentenced for assaulting a woman in Engelen who had damaged protest signs against an asylum center. Jeremy van L. (41) received 36 days in prison, a 120-hour community service order, and a suspended two-month sentence for kicking the victim. Freek Q. (43) was given 240 hours of community service, including 80 hours suspended, for spraying a substance on her face.
