Van de Zandschulp reaches US Open fourth round after hard-fought victory over Bergs
Botic van de Zandschulp advanced to the fourth round of the US Open after a tough five-set win over Zizou Bergs (3-6, 7-6, 4-6, 7-6, 6-3) on 2026-09-05, lasting 4 hours and 29 minutes. Van de Zandschulp (ATP-70) had previously upset world number 6 Alex de Minaur. He will face Frenchman Arthur Gea, who entered as a lucky loser and became only the second male lucky loser to reach the US Open quarterfinals.
