Over Half of Utrecht Municipalities Lack Inclusive Playgrounds for Children
A study by the SamenSpeelFonds reveals that more than half of Utrecht's municipalities lack inclusive playgrounds where children with and without disabilities can play together. While 40% of Dutch municipalities currently lack such facilities, fifteen out of twenty-six in Utrecht have none. Organizations Jantje Beton and Stichting het Gehandicapte Kind highlight that most existing playgrounds are inaccessible, preventing social integration.
