Return of Basketball Player Leonard to Toronto Approved by NBA After All
The transfer of NBA player Kawhi Leonard back to his former club, the Toronto Raptors, has been officially approved. Leonard, who won Toronto’s only NBA title in 2019, will leave the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, and several future draft picks. The deal was delayed after the NBA imposed unprecedented penalties on the Clippers in early September 2026 for salary cap violations, including a $30 million fine and a one-year suspension for owner Steve Ballmer. Leonard also received a fine of over €600,000.
