Military delegation killed in plane crash in Congo
All seventeen people on board a military aircraft died after it crashed in Congo. The flight was returning from Kikwit to Kinshasa when technical issues forced the pilot to attempt an emergency landing in Kenge, where the plane struck a construction site. Among the victims were two high-ranking military officials: the head of the military court and a prosecutor general of the military court. Four civilians, including a child, were also on board. No casualties were reported on the ground. The Congolese aviation authority has launched an investigation into the accident.
