Georgia dismisses national team coach Sagnol after Nations League defeat
The Georgian Football Federation has dismissed Frenchman Willy Sagnol as head coach following a 1-0 home loss to Northern Ireland in the Nations League. Ramaz Svanadze, coach of the U21 team, has been appointed as his successor. Sagnol, who led Georgia to their first European Championship appearance in 2024, was unable to qualify the team for the World Cup.
