Former International Gilardino Appointed as Parma Coach

Alberto Gilardino has been named the new head coach of Serie A club Parma, succeeding Carlos Cuesta who departed two days prior. The 44-year-old former Italy international returns to the club where he played from 2002 to 2005, scoring 56 goals in 116 matches. Gilardino has signed a contract until mid-2027 with an option for two additional seasons. He previously played for AC Milan, Fiorentina, and Genoa, and won the World Cup with Italy in 2006.
