Seventy football supporters engage in mass brawl at station
A large fight broke out on Saturday afternoon between approximately 70 VVV-Venlo supporters and a group of suspected PSV supporters near Strijp-S station and the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven. The VVV-Venlo team bus had stopped in Eindhoven en route to Volendam for an Eredivisie match scheduled for 20:00, reportedly to allow fans to buy drinks. Police deployed numerous units and a police dog, isolating the VVV-Venlo group for individual checks before escorting them back to Venlo. The supporters were banned from attending the match in Volendam. No arrests have been made yet, but police are reviewing camera footage to identify those involved, while searches for weapons in the area yielded no results.
