Leo Beenhakker Gets His Own Cruyff Court in the Neighborhood Where He Grew Up: 'He Would Have Loved It'
A Cruyff Court at Nachtegaalplein in Rotterdam Charlois has been renamed in honor of former coach Leo Beenhakker, who grew up in the area. The field was reopened on Wednesday afternoon in the presence of his son Erwin, Mario Been, and Jorien van den Herik, approximately a year and a half after Beenhakker's death.
