VW Tiguan becomes ID. Tiguan: now fully electric
Volkswagen has transformed its best-selling model, the Tiguan, into a fully electric vehicle named the ID. Tiguan. The new electric crossover features an updated interior with physical buttons replacing some touch controls and improved aerodynamics that extend the driving range by up to 39 kilometers for the 286-horsepower variant. Powertrain options include a 190-hp version with a 58-kWh battery offering 450 km of range, and a 299-hp all-wheel-drive model reaching 560 km. While the chassis remains on the same platform as the previous generation, suspension tuning has been adjusted slightly for enhanced comfort. Volkswagen will officially unveil the ID. Tiguan and announce pricing next week.
