Belgium to Participate in Next Year's Eurovision Song Festival After Long Hesitation
After months of uncertainty, the Flemish broadcaster VRT confirmed that Belgium will participate in the 2027 Eurovision Song Festival. CEO Frederik Delaplace stated that the decision followed pressure on the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to implement changes regarding participation and voting rules, as well as the withdrawal of Israeli sponsor Moroccanoil. The event will be held in Burgas, Bulgaria, following Dara's victory in May.
