Fire Extinguished at Asylum Seeker Center in Eindhoven, Residents Allowed to Return
A fire broke out at an asylum seeker center in Eindhoven on Monday morning when stored bicycle batteries ignited inside a tent. The fire department quickly contained the blaze and allowed the batteries to burn out under control. Approximately 150 to 200 residents were evacuated outdoors as a precaution, where emergency services distributed thermal blankets. An ambulance was present, but no injuries were reported.
