Infantino Open to Distributing Millions Following UEFA and Concacaf Appeal
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has expressed willingness to distribute financial reserves to the organization's 211 national associations, responding to demands from UEFA and Concacaf for an independent audit of FIFA's finances. UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin and Concacaf President Victor Montagliani questioned the necessity of Infantino’s World Cup investment plan given FIFA’s projected record reserves of $6 billion. They requested that at least $10 million be made available to each national association between 2027 and 2030. Infantino stated he is open to providing maximum funding and ordered an investigation into the reserves, with a decision on distributions to be presented to the FIFA Council on October 15.
