Inter Legend Mazzola Dies at 83
Italian former footballer Sandro Mazzola has died at the age of 83 following a long illness, as announced by Inter Milan. A club icon, he played exclusively for Inter for 17 years, scoring 158 goals in 565 matches and winning two European Cups and four Serie A titles. He also won the 1968 European Championship with Italy and finished second in the 1971 Ballon d'Or race behind Johan Cruyff.
