Fifth Person Dies from West Nile Virus, Sixteen New Infections Reported
The Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment reported a fifth death from the West Nile virus this year, bringing the total number of infections to 44. Sixteen new cases were identified, primarily transmitted through mosquito bites, with South Holland reporting the highest number of cases among the affected provinces.
