Bert Kranenbarg Cut from Radio 5 and Leaves NPO
Radiomaker Bert Kranenbarg is leaving the NPO after more than three decades, following the cancellation of his program BertOp5 on NPO Radio 5 due to budget cuts. The 61-year-old DJ announced that the final episode will air on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2026, ending a ten-year run on the station. Kranenbarg, who previously hosted Knooppunt Kranenbarg on NPO Radio 2 for thirteen years, stated he does not yet know what he will do starting January 1, marking the end of his long career in Hilversum.
