16-time world champion Taylor returns to darts
Sixteen-time world champion Phil Taylor has announced his return to the sport, ending his retirement since 2018. The 66-year-old Englishman, known as 'The Power', will compete in November at the Modus Super Series in Portsmouth alongside Adrian Lewis. Taylor stated that he only returned because of a good reason, citing Lewis as one of the few people who prompted his comeback. He described darts as "the ultimate test of character" and confirmed his status as the most successful darter ever. While it remains unclear if Taylor plans to continue competing solo, he previously won 14 PDC world titles between 1995 and 2013 and two WDF titles.
