Belgian toddler dies after parents left her in car
A 1.5-year-old girl died on Friday after being left inside a parked vehicle in Bertem, Belgium, for the entire day. Her parents had forgotten she was in the car, which was stationed at the elementary school attended by her older sibling. Although she was discovered in the evening and rushed to the hospital, medical intervention could not save her. The Leuven prosecutor's office has confirmed the death to VRT and is continuing its investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
