Largest Drug Bust in Bosnia's History at Dutch Entrepreneur's Site: Three Arrested
Bosnian police seized nearly 1.1 tons of synthetic cathinon, worth tens of millions of euros, during an operation in Ilijaš near Sarajevo. This marks the largest seizure of synthetic drugs in the Balkan country's history. Three suspects, including an employee of a Dutch entrepreneur whose company is under investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office, were arrested. The entrepreneur established the firm in 2021, which imported methylamine from India under the guise of soil improvement products. Authorities also confiscated firearms, phones, and protective masks used in drug production.
