At least 75 cats found in French apartment, dead kittens also discovered in freezer
More than 75 cats were discovered in a Paris apartment by staff from the animal welfare organization YouCare on September 17, along with dead kittens found in the freezer. The organization filed a complaint for animal abuse after neighbors had repeatedly complained about the odor. Although the agency initially expected around thirty cats in the 50-square-meter unit, they rescued 42 due to limited capacity, while nearly thirty remain in the apartment pending legal proceedings. The owner denies mistreatment and claims he wants the animals back.
