Man dies after jumping from high-voltage mast
A man died on Monday afternoon in Beek, Limburg, after jumping from a high-voltage transmission tower. Police negotiators attempted to persuade him to descend from the 38-meter height, but he jumped just as rescue workers arrived to assist. Emergency services, including a trauma helicopter and German fire brigade personnel, responded to the scene. Rescuers unsuccessfully attempted to resuscitate the man following the fall.
