Bolivian Referee Suspended Over Controversial Penalty Keeper Refused to Stop
Bolivian referee Carlos Arteaga has been suspended for the remainder of the year by the Bolivian Football Federation (FSF) after awarding a disputed penalty in stoppage time during a match between 10 de Noviembre Wilstermann Cooperativas and Club Atlético Independiente Cochabamba. The FSF deemed the penalty non-existent and influential on the result. In protest, Gustavo Tesonotte, the goalkeeper for the disadvantaged club, leaned against the post instead of attempting to save the shot, allowing Junior Adiri to score.
