Schotveld and Wahl win Best Book for Young People 2026
Janneke Schotveld and German author Caroline Wahl won the Best Book for Young People 2026 award, announced by book organization CPNB. Schotveld received the prize for her original Dutch novel Zusje, while Wahl won for the translated work Windkracht 17 alongside translator Ymke van der Staay. The winners were selected by a jury of five teenagers aged 15 to 18 from a shortlist prepared by professionals. The awards were presented on Sunday at Boekfest in Utrecht.
