Volleyballers send Finland to overtime, but are done with the European Championship after defeat
The Dutch volleyball team has been eliminated from the European Championship. Coach Joel Banks' squad lost their fourth match against undefeated host nation Finland, 3-2. Victory was required for the Netherlands to reach the quarter-finals. The Finns, known as "veljekset" (brothers), were led by scorers Nooa and Luka Marttila. Despite Sil Meijs scoring 20 points and Oranje winning the third set 26-24, Finland secured the win. Nothing is at stake in the final match against Estonia on Wednesday evening.
