Maud van der Toorn failed to reach the semifinals of the European Boxing Championships in Sofia, losing 0-5 to Kosovo's Donjeta Sadiku in the 60-kilogram category. She was the last remaining Dutch boxer after Finn Bos, Mahmoud al Chabtun, and Gaby Weerheim were eliminated in the first round, Luna Beeloo exited in the quarterfinals, and Aaliyah Hoppema was disqualified for failing the weigh-in.
