Kampman loses to eternal rival and misses out on European kitefoiling title
Jessie Kampman, 26, won silver at the European Kitefoiling Championships. After winning the opening series, Kampman needed just one more victory in the final for the title, but her long-time rival Lauriane Nolot, who also won a series, claimed the win. The first final race was won by Switzerland’s Elena Lengwiler, forcing a second race. Kampman led the second final but was involved in an incident, allowing Nolot to win. Kampman, now competing for the Netherlands, lost to Nolot as she did at the World Championships earlier in 2024.
