Record Prize Money for European Athletics Championships 2028
European Athletics has announced a record prize fund of 3.5 million euros for the 2028 outdoor championships in Chorzów, Poland, an increase of 3 million euros over previous events. Individual gold medalists will receive 30,000 euros, silver winners 15,000 euros, and bronze winners 10,000 euros. President Dobromir Karamarinov stated the funding adds "extra glamour" to the event.
