Surge in Traffic Violations: Speeding, Phone Use, and Running Red Lights
Traffic violations increased significantly between May and August compared to the same period last year, with notable rises in speeding, using mobile phones while driving, and running red lights. The Central Judicial Collection Agency (CJIB) attributes part of this increase to more automated control measures, while police also conducted more roadside checks.
