'No indications of attack' in French train derailment
There are no indications of malicious intent in the derailment of a train in northern France on 2026-09-11, according to Rouen public prosecutor Sébastien Gallois. The accident between Rouen and Caen injured 44 people, one seriously. The derailment was caused by a rail segment found on the tracks. While a police source told AFP sabotage was suspected, the prosecutor stated, “There is no evidence of a malicious act or deliberate attack.” Regional president Hervé Morin maintains sabotage is the most likely hypothesis.
