Putin Increases Russian Army Size Again; Zelensky Warns of Larger Mobilization
President Putin issued a decree expanding the Russian armed forces by approximately 15,000 soldiers for the fourth time this year, bringing total strength to around 2.4 million. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described this as the start of a larger mobilization, citing reports of 8,000 North Korean troops currently in Russia. Meanwhile, Russian drone attacks damaged a border post near Poland and caused fires in Kyiv, including at the National Academy of Sciences, while a fireworks factory explosion in western Russia killed at least thirteen people.
