Australian 'Connector' Noffke Named New Cricket Coach
Ashley Noffke, a 49-year-old Australian, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Dutch cricket team, succeeding South African Ryan Cook who left last summer. Noffke has signed a contract until the end of 2028 and brings experience from Australia, Asia, and the UK, having played three international matches for his home country. Dutch Cricket Board president Huib van Walsem highlighted Noffke’s global experience and belief that connection is more important than tactics. Under previous coach Cook, the Netherlands were eliminated in the group stage of the T20 World Cup earlier this year, winning only one of four matches.
