Hacker Pepijn (24) got a new chance after 4 years in prison, now he is a suspect in the ShinyHunters case
Pepijn van der S., a 24-year-old Dutch hacker previously sentenced to four years in prison for cybercrime, has been arrested again on suspicion of involvement with the ShinyHunters hacking collective. The group is linked to major breaches at Odido and the FBI. Although Van der S. had reintegrated into the cybersecurity industry after his release, tech journalist Daniël Verlaan suggests that hacking acts as an addiction for him. ShinyHunters initially denied any connection but later admitted to having recent contact with him. Police indicated they would provide more information soon.
