Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro Receive French Honor
Director Martin Scorsese and actor Robert De Niro were honored by French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday evening at Villa Albertine in New York. The 83-year-old Scorsese was appointed a Grand Officer of the French Legion of Honour, while De Niro received the rank of Officer for their contributions to film and its preservation. The ceremony took place during Macron's visit to New York for the United Nations General Assembly, with actor Leonardo DiCaprio also in attendance.
