Uzbekistan marks 35 years of independence as president outlines plans for next decade
The anniversary ceremony in New Tashkent combined political messaging with a large-scale cultural programme. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced seven national programmes, including major targets for investment, education, healthcare and economic growth.
